Random Free Write.

Today im going to my friends stephan's house, he's having a birthday party his real birthday was actually this past monday. Also my friend sandra invited me to the doc waller beach to have a bonfire but i dont think i can go even if i wanted to. Also i had to beg my mom to go out beacuse my grades are really bad i have 2 F's and it's comming to the end of the semester! My house is boring though plus i can't go on the computer beacuse on once again my grades. So i guarentee that this weekend is going to be really crappy.

Achievement Gap

What can students do to close the avhievement gap?
Students for one can show up for class and pay attention if their teacher gives them homework, they should be responsible enough to do it. If the student is falling behind and not able to keep up they should go to an after school program where they can get help.

What can parents do to close the achievement gap?
One of the top reasons why there is an achievement gap is because "parents don't see themselves as teachers." Parents should take the time to check there kids homework, its not enough "just asking how school was." Also check in with the kids teachers your kid might be the distraction of his education, It's not always the teacher fault.

What can teachers do to close the avhieveemant gap?
Some teachers stereotype students and it's not fair that they do. If a black kid walks into a class the teacher might already assume the the kid is going to fail and they have low expectations for them so they just push the kids down so they aren't learning anything. So when they get to high school or college (if they go or get in) they are going to have a hard time because that teacher didn't believe in the student and didn't care much for them.

What can schools do to close the achievement gap?
Schools can make sure every student is on grade level and if they aren't they have to take summer school or any way possible to be on the right track. If the student doeen't get help they will fail that grade.Honestly, theres not much the school can do except after school tutoring. It has to up to the kid to learn and take responsibilty.

Nothing New

Nothing new is in my life. My friend Jenifer and i want to go to a my chemical romance concert or a 30 seconds to mars concert. We wanted to go to a KROQ Acoustic Christmas but the tickets were to expensive (because my parents didn't want to pay for it,and we had no money) Whenever we tried to call the radio station it was busy or we couldn't get through. I might go with my friend Sandra and Jacey to go see Alpha Dog! it's with Justin Timberlake and Emile Hirche!!! thats our main reason of going because of them!!! if it were with any other guy i proboly won't be going. In case you've fallen off the planet Emile Hirch is the guy who plays the great Jay Adams in the movie Lords Of dogtown.He also plays in the movie "The danger mids of the altar boys" well adios CHAIO!!!
